My hunny and I like to visit here for our lunch dates and it's never a disappointment. The staff is kind and welcoming, the place is clean, and the food is so good.
delicious food and cocktails!! i believe our servers name was monica, and she was outstanding!! we originally sat outside and then moved inside so we switched servers, and they were super nice and accommodating even with our hassle. amazing and fast service from her and the kitchen!
The food at southern social was so delish and had solid portions. The shrimp and grits was so flavorful and the cornbread was to die for. I would definitely get both again. The pot roast was good too but didn't wow me. I would've liked more gravy. The beignets were a great dessert! A little underdone but tasted great with the sugar and hazelnut dip!
This place is DELICIOUS. As a southern transplant I confidently can say they know what they are doing! The Deviled Eggs had a ton of flavor, the Shrimp and Grits were awesome, there was a lot of roasted corn which I love. My husband had the Pickled Hen with fries that he really enjoyed! Everything was fresh and delicious and I already had my eye on other things I will try when we go back! Our server, Delaney, was super friendly and cheerful. Thanks for a fun evening!
I wish we had this where I'm from. Here in MN for a work trip and was told about this place. Boy am I glad I was lol. I had the Shrimp with Grits with a side of Coleslaw and an Indeed Pistachio Cream Ale to wash it down. 10 out of 10 easy. Staff is friendly, food is amazing, and sports on TV. Literally the definition of a happy man lol.
I recently had a fantastic meal at Southern Social in Eagan, and I have to rave about their jambalaya! It wasn’t mushy at all — in fact, the texture was perfect, with each bite bringing a nice combination of flavors and spices. Easily one of the best jambalayas I’ve ever had. And to top it off, my server, Delaney, was incredibly kind and attentive, making the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back!
We went on a weeknight, it was fairly busy but we were seated at a booth in the bar area right away. The service & food was excellent, prices are very reasonable for the quality that you get. We will be sure to visit again
Absolutely loved this place. The drinks were incredible! Creative, strong without being overpowering. The patio is beautiful too, with such a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere next to a little pond, it makes you want to stay for hours. Our server Delaney was exceptionally sweet and I could tell that she cared about her job, and that she wasn’t just here to make some money. What really stood out to us was how genuinely dog friendly they are. It can be hard finding places that are truly comfortable and welcoming to dogs, but this patio felt perfect. Plenty of space, relaxed vibe, and the staff were super kind and accommodating about having our dog with us. Being able to enjoy amazing cocktails without having to leave our pup at home made the experience even better. This is officially one of our favorite patio spots, especially for dog owners. Can’t wait to come back.
We met friends for dinner Friday night. But with 3 wheelchair guests, I called day before to advise of our space needs. Despite no reservations on Friday's, a table was made available and staff had already removed table chairs. Indoors had plenty of space between tables, in restrooms and doorway entrance, for wheelchairs to traverse. Our various drinks & dinners -chicken, ribs, burger, shrimp, brisket, bbq pork - were all reported to be delicious & served to correct person. Attention to detail was definitely a staff strength. We will return for the great service & other menu items to try.
We had an amazing experience. Saturday night at the end of May with beautiful weather. The parking lot was packed but still got seated right away. The space is equipped to handle large groups as well as a date night. Inside and outside seating. Clean restrooms, friendly service, transparent open area for bar and kitchen. They have a kids menu and a child can eat free on Sunday with a paid for adult entree. They take reservations as well.
